Every recipe starts in our home and gets tested by our family. If a bar feels drying, doesn't lather well, or just isn't special enough, we go back to the drawing board. We pour our hearts into creating soaps that feel wonderful on your skin and bring a little joy to your daily routine.
From our family to yours, thank you for supporting a small business built by a mother and her daughters in Lakeland, Florida.
Sometimes the best sale is the one you don't make. And the best feedback isn’t always online.
A customer recently asked me if my shampoo bar was safe for color-treated hair.
The honest answer?
I don't know yet.
I told her that while I love my shampoo bar, I've noticed it can leave the hair feeling a little rough at first, and because it's a true soap, I wasn't comfortable telling her it was safe for dyed hair. I even mentioned that it might strip color, and I didn't want her to risk it.
I told her to skip it for now.
Instead, I'm going to do the research and work on developing a shampoo bar specifically for color-treated hair before I ever make that claim.
Could I have made a quick sale? Probably.
But I'd rather earn a customer for years than make one sale today.
That's how I make every product at Bode Bars. If I don't believe in it, I don't sell it.
“One of the most rewarding parts of Lily’s Tub Treats has been hearing from parents and coworkers who tell us that children who once resisted bath time are now excited to jump in the tub because they get to use one of Lily’s sensory soaps. Those conversations remind us that something as simple as a colorful, fun soap can help make a daily routine a little more enjoyable for some families.”
